The latest developments highlight competing liabilities for Clinton.

Additionally, PRN made various network changes to the PRN Server around March 7, 2015, to include disabling the server’ s public-facing VPN page and switching from SSL protocol to TLS to increase security.

Republicans have repeatedly hammered Clinton over the issue, helping drive opinion polls that show many USA voters doubt her trustworthiness.

Clinton’s campaign said it was “pleased” with the report’s release.

Mrs Clinton said she did not remember receiving any particular education on handling classified material.

He declined to say whether State Department officials still discussed the planning of future attacks using drones in unclassified emails.

Mrs Clinton’s use of private e-mail has dogged her campaign for more than a year, prompting accusations from Republicans, including rival Donald Trump, that she is unfit for the nation’s highest office and weighing on her public support.

He also questioned why the FBI’s interviews were not recorded.

“Clinton’s reckless conduct and dishonest attempts to avoid accountability show she can not be trusted with the presidency”. Pagliano secured an immunity agreement from the Justice Department after previously refusing to testify before Congress, invoking his constitutional right against self-incrimination. And two iPads gone missing. The FBI notes indicate they found phishing emails sent to Clinton’s private account on multiple occurrences.

There was indication that unknown parties tried to gain access to her email server and one case where an email account belonging to a Bill Clinton staffer may have been successfully “compromised”.

It also released a summary of its overall investigation. The notes also indicated a lack of training in handling classified content, reading that she “could not recall any briefing or training by State related to the retention of federal records or handling classified information”.

Following Hillary Clinton’s email scandal, the FBI has published a summary of its investigation on the USA presidential candidate. Clinton could not say for sure if the parenthetical “C” is used for portion marking classified documents. The FBI said it released the additional information because of the enormous interest in the presidential candidate’s actions, even though it did not recommend criminal charges and none were filed by the Justice Department. Shown one July 2012 email she exchanged with President Barack Obama at his own highly secure address, Clinton indicated that she recalled sending the note on an airplane during a trip to Russian Federation.

Clinton also told the Federal Bureau of Investigation she never deleted emails, nor instructed anyone else to do so, to avoid their potential release under the Freedom of Information Act.

Clinton’s use of a private email account and homebrew server during her time as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013 has weighed heavily on her bid over the past year to become America’s first female commander-in-chief.

“Be very careful”, Powell cautioned Clinton in an email.

“I got around it all by not saying much and not using systems that captured the data”, Powell said.

“She relied on State officials to use their judgement when emailing her and could not recall anyone raising concerns with her regarding the sensitivity of the information she received at her email address”, said the summary.

The e-mail scandal has always been a topic of discussion.
