There’s a rather delicous irony about a game criticising the themes of libertarianism and capitalism for capitalim’s sake, while being re-released in a barely-changed form to soak up twice as much money. This means you will need to actually download two separate files to be able to enjoy all three games. “A lack of care to detail and optimization that will make us fans of this masterful franchise question everything 2K had in their mind until this release”.

2K have said that “unfortunately, streaming BioShock: The Collection isn’t an option right now”. The console version is the PC version we’ve been enjoying on Steam for years. Better still, they’ll be added separately, meaning you can still choose to play the originals if you prefer, you old purist you. Some players even go as far as dubbing them “retextures” instead of actual remasters. The PC version will not include BioShock Infinite as 2K believes it “already meets current-gen console standards and runs smoothly on high visual settings”.

BioShock: The Collection is rated M for Mature by the ESRB. On the other hand, players with “Bioshock 2”, “Bioshock” or “Bioshock 2 Minerva’s Den” on their Steam library are expected to get the corresponding remastered version without any charge.

The Collection will also be released on PC, with the version of Bioshock Infinite being identical to the one on Stream.
