Sign up this week for Cub Scouts on September 14

The inaugural meeting for the Pack 367 Lions in Nassau County took pace on September 9, and the group also led the color guard for the scouts at the September 11 memorial ceremony at Arthur J. Hendrickson Park. Scouting instills values in young boys and young men through service, education, outdoor adventure and other programming.

Local Cub Scout leader Amber Botsch said before this year, the first opportunity for boys to join the Cub Scouts program was as first-graders. The Lion program is created to introduce kindergarteners and their families to the fun of Scouting.

Go to www.bsacmc.org to find out more about Scouting in Central Minnesota. The event will be held in Greater Ottumwa Park at the tepee and is open to boys in 1st through 5th grade. Adult partners take turns leading a den meeting or outing during the year. “We’re looking forward to getting it up and running”.
