Sony’s biggest ever PlayStation 4 update is out now

PlayStation Lifestyle added that PlayStation 4 Pro updates will roll out in November 10, 2016. It’s also more customizable than before and has several new menu items, plus an enhanced Music section that was featured in the beta program.

Quick Menu – Pressing the central quick menu button will now only bring up a smaller menu interface, which will allow you to keep your current gaming session visible. Simply check for update through console settings or download the update file from official PlayStation website if you wish to update via USB. There’s also a new music section added, which lets you discover and play Spotify tracks without specifically opening the app. Sony encourages everyone to follow PlayStation Music on Spotify to get the latest gaming playlists first.

Last week, Sony revealed a slimmer version of the PS4 as well as the new PS4 Pro.

Furthermore, Shingen will allow the PS4 Pro to output high-resolution content.

We’ll be talking about Fallout 4 and Skyrim mods for the PlayStation 4. Activity from friends up on left column and right column shows what your friends are now playing, as well as Trending, Players You May Know, Who to Follow. Microsoft Xbox One S has built in HDR capability so we wonder if it was really easy to update a console with HDR via a firmware, will Microsoft do the same?

As you’d expect from a major update, Sony is rolling out a number of new features PlayStation 4 owners can begin enjoying as early as tomorrow. Much similar to a news feed, the player can see the overview of the game, friends and communities, trending media, activities and all other content in PS Store.

Among the new backend functionality is also the ability to transfer data to a new PS4, should anyone be in the market for a PS4 Slim. You can now transfer everything (games, user info, and saved data) over a wired LAN connection.
