Trump says Obama was ‘born in the United States. Period.’
“Now, we all want to get back to making America strong and great again”, notes The Atlantic. It comes after years of being the loudest voice of the so-called birther conspiracy. “Donald Trump needs to answer to Donald Trump”. He may not have been born in this country.

“In 2011, Mr. Trump was finally able to bring this ugly incident to its conclusion by successfully compelling President Obama to release his birth certificate”, Miller said.
Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961, just two years after the island in the Pacific Ocean became a US state.
WOLF BLITZER, CNN: Is he a natural-born citizen?
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., called Trump a “two-bit racial arsonist” who has fanned the flames of bigotry and hatred.
The unfounded claims were a launchpad for Trump’s political career, propelling him onto the national stage and winning him fans on the far right.
In the morning, Clinton fired off a tweet referring to her rival as “birther-in-chief” and featuring an old clip of Trump.
“His campaign was founded on this outrageous lie. There is no erasing it in history”.
The President, on the other side, refused to discuss this issue with Donald Trump before clarifying all the details about the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership with Pacific Rim nations, claiming that this is a way more important aspect than his birthplace.
Calling for “steady” and “measured” leadership, Mrs. Obama said it’s “excruciatingly clear” that there’s only one person in the race that can be trusted with the keys to the White House. “I would hope that our media will begin to focus on informing the American people rather than regurgitate what this man has to say about anything”. Blaming Clinton and pretending that he “finished” the “scandal” that he really created is out of control.
On Friday, Trump blamed the birther debate on Clinton’s 2008 campaign for president. Fact-checks proving it to be false abound.
But there’s not only no truth to that statement – and a bombastic one released from his campaign Thursday night stating the same thing – there’s evidence that as late as 2014 Trump was continuing to cast doubt that Obama was born in the U.S.
Trump’s brief remarks on the subject came at the end of a lengthy campaign event that plugged his new hotel in the capital Washington, and his support from veterans, but scarcely touched on the “birther” issue.

Michelle Obaman hits the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton. The Commission on Presidential Debates said today that Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein don’t have high enough standings in public opinion polls to qualify.
