Running Back Corey Clement Questionable For No. 9 Wisconsin
To have any shot, they’ll likely need big games against a Badgers secondary that will be without third CB Natrell Jamerson because of a leg injury.

Although initial concerns were that the starting back would miss some time, it seems he will be ready to go against this week’s opponent Georgia State.
It probably won’t get any easier on Saturday. Wisconsin running back Corey Clement said the team, unranked during the preseason, has remained grounded and that “we want to do that every week no matter (where) we’re ranked”.
“Just opens up the defense, keep them on their toes”, receiver Jazz Peavy said. “You do all this work so you can play the game, and if you can play the game, you’re going to play”. With a trip to No. 12 Michigan State coming up on September 24, don’t be surprised if Clement sits.
Chryst said Thursday that Clement practiced Monday, but hadn’t done much the rest of the week. Now that he’s nursing a balky ankle, it would not be surprising to see the trio of Dare Ogunbowale, Taiwan Deal, and Bradrick Shaw carry the load Saturday. In receiving, Jazz Peavy posted 100 yards and 2 touchdowns in 7 receptions while Robert Wheelwright added 99 yards in 4 catches. The biggest take away will be the ability for Chryst to open up the passing game and get his receivers and Houston reps.
MILES FROM WISCONSIN: Georgia State’s head coach has some experience in Wisconsin after having served as an offensive assistant for the NFL’s Green Bay Packers.
Clement has 42 carries for 197 yards and three touchdowns in the first two games.

– Corey Clement needs 86 rushing yards to become the 16th player in Wisconsin history to rush for 2,000 yards. The possibility of promising freshman Caesar Williams seeing action for the first time this year at corner disappeared after he was ruled out on Thursday with a left leg injury.
