The body of a second woman found inside an Ashland home this week has been identified.

Outraged at the police inaction, Argil says, the Stanley family gathered together to look for Stacey on their own – coming as close as discovering the scene where her body was later found before asking, unsuccessfully, for police to get involved. Officials say Grate later led them to a third body in neighboring Richland County. She had been struggling with it for years, her uncle Argil Stanley told People.

“I’ve been abducted”, she told the 911 dispatcher.

The Norwalk Reflector spoke with several women in Ashland who shared stories about freaky encounters they had reportedly had with Grate.

When asked if she was bleeding, the woman said, “Not anymore”.

Grate is due back in court Monday for a preliminary hearing.

Grate is accused of killing 43-year-old Stacey Hicks, also known as Stacey Stanley, and a second victim who has not yet been identified, Ashland County Prosecuting Attorney Christopher Tunnel said in a statement Thursday. She said she declined the invitation ― a decision she now credits with saving her life.

“I’ve been abducted”, the woman said in the 911 call as Grate, 40, allegedly slept nearby her. Grate was also arrested at the home Tuesday morning.

Grate is charged with kidnapping in the woman’s abduction.

According to a Daily Mail story, Shawn Grate’s ex-wife’s family describes him as an abusive “monster” and “deadbeat dad”, who left his daughter when she was just six-days-old. She said Grate recently approached her while she was sitting on a bench in the neighborhood. She was reported missing earlier this month.

As news of the murders filtered through the community, several women have recalled seeing Shawn Grate in the area trying to befriend women and trying to lure them into the house where his latest alleged victim was found. The deceased person has not yet been identified. He’s yet to be charged with murder for the third woman that was found.

Shawn Grate, 40 now faces two counts of murder in the deaths of Griffith and 43-year-old Stacey Stanley. Police found the bodies after freeing the woman and arresting Grate. He's being held on $1 million bond
