Packers preparing for Vikings to start Bradford
They’re still trying to be secretive about their starting quarterback for Sunday, even though all signs have been pointing toward Sam Bradford making his debut.

It could be Shaun Hill.
We caught up with Chris Tomasson, who covers the Vikings for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, to get a better feel for what’s going on with Minnesota heading into Sunday night.
Zimmer, one of the NFL’s most respected defensive coordinators in Cincinnati before he was named coach of the Vikings two years ago, has frustrated Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers with his defensive schemes in the past.
“You’ll have to wait until Sunday, ” he said. Not only that, this is a game that could set the tone early on for who will ultimately emerge as the NFC North champions. Even at 31 and two years removed from his devastating knee injury, Peterson is still very unsafe.
“Well, I got some new shoes this year for the indoor (games) from Adidas”, Rodgers said Wednesday.
Bradford had only seven days to prepare for the opener at Tennessee, after arriving in a trade with Philadelphia that was prompted by the season-ending injury to Teddy Bridgewater’s left knee. Minnesota’s defense, which could be the NFL’s best, was absolutely dominant, leading the Vikings to a 25-16 road win against the Tennessee Titans. I don’t know. You’ll have to ask Mike McCarthy that.
“That’s why you practice, and these are things really when you go back to training camp and you’re in your installation phase, that’s what you rely on”, McCarthy said.
Sunday’s matchup of NFC North rivals is the first regular-season game at U.S. Bank Stadium. “Obviously, the old Metrodome was a very loud stadium when they were rolling”.
“Personally, I think he’s doing a great job of picking up the offense and calling plays”, Peterson said. “There are a lot of things on tape we got to work on and get better at”.
The Packers will be looking to avenge their 20-13 home loss to Minnesota in Week 17 that handed the NFC North crown to the Vikings previous year.
Each practice of the offseason through the regular season Treadwell is one of the last Vikings to leave the practice field and Zimmer is taking notice.
U.S. Bank Stadium was completed this summer at a total cost of $1.1 billion, almost $500,000 of which was furnished by taxpayers. In the 14 games played in Milwaukee, Green Bay held the advantage at 9-6. “I think it does help if you know who it is, and I’m sure those guys have an idea of who it is going to be going into Sunday”. Getting used to the translucent, space-age roof that would allow daylight to stream on to the field shouldn’t be an issue with the evening start, McCarthy suspected.
The 15-year pro has played against the Packers five times in his career, but only started once against them. The new stadium has been sold out for the entire season. “So it’s a big game, a division game, so we’ve got to withstand the initial surge”.
While the quarterback question hangs over this matchup, second-year WR Stefon Diggs and counterpart Charles Johnson could be facing a depleted secondary since CB Sam Shields (concussion protocol) and Josh Hawkins (hamstring) are banged up for Green Bay.
The Packers are 10-2-1 SU in their last 13 games against the Vikings.
MyCole Pruitt, who suffered a knee injury in an August 28 preseason game, also missed practice.

The Packers released third-string RB Jhurell Pressley, who was claimed off waivers on September 5 after being released by the Vikings.
