After eight years of lying, Trump admits Obama born in US
The U.S. first lady and wife of President Barack Obama, who won the White House in 2008 and 2012 with high levels of support from young voters, told a crowd of students in Virginia that they could mean the difference between a Clinton win or a loss to Republican nominee Donald Trump.

In her interview with Blitzer, Solis Doyle said she was not aware of a memorandum written by Mark Penn, a Democratic pollster and Clinton 2008 strategist, that seemed to question the President’s Americanism. As usual, however, Hillary Clinton was too weak to get an answer. I finished it. I finished it. “Period. Now we all want to get back to making America strong and great again”.
Shapiro said Clinton did not handle her bout of pneumonia well, either.
Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) said that while he is used to “dog whistles” in politics, he has had a hard time adjusting to the “howls of wolves” that have accompanied Trump’s candidacy. He didn’t take questions from reporters who were there. “By any definition Donald Trump is a disgusting fraud”. In the end, the advisers were unanimous: Keep it short, the attendees said.
“President Barack Obama was born in the United States”, Trump said.
One reason for Clinton’s falling poll numbers is a lack of enthusiasm for her among young voters, a group that leans Democratic but doesn’t always go to the polls.
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries called Trump a “two-bit racial arsonist who for decades has done nothing but fan the flames of bigotry and hatred” and said that his “leadership” in the birther movement was “nothing more than a fraud created to appeal to “the racists, bigots and xenophobes who wanted to delegitimize the first black president of the United States of America”. “His campaign was founded on this lie”.
When asked for his response to the Trump campaign finally acknowledging he was born in the U.S., President Obama told ABC News’ Jonathan Karl he was “shocked” such a question was being asked.
They were outraged by Trump’s actions Friday morning, when he concluded a campaign event at his new hotel just across town in Washington with a few blunt sentences admitting that Obama was born in America. Well, I’m not that shocked actually. It’s fairly typical. We got other things to attend to.
“I was pretty confident about where I was born. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know”. “My hope is that the presidential election reflects more serious issues”.
Donald Trump on Friday wondered aloud what would happen to Hillary Clinton should her Secret Service detail disarm. “If you view America as a land of value and equality and justice, this man can not be elected”.
In his statement, Miller said also accused the Clinton campaign of 2008 of raising this issue against Obama during that year’s Democratic primaries, though there’s no evidence tying those charges to the candidate.
Obama took the unprecedented step of releasing his long form birth certificate in 2011, amid persistent questions from Trump and others. “To the contrary, it’s completely false”.
Clinton tried to project an air of calm as she jumped back on the campaign trail after a three-day enforced break due to pneumonia, saying she always said the race would be close. But the record does not show Clinton or her campaign ever promoting the birther theory, let alone starting it. His running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, said he knew Obama was born a citizen.
Trump’s comments speculating on Obama’s birthplace have been seen by many as an attempt to delegitimize the nation’s first black president, and have turned off numerous African-American voters he is now courting in his bid for the White House. But Thursday evening’s events appear to have convinced the campaign to move more quickly to address concerns.

“The president should come clean”, Trump said on Irish television in 2014, a clip unearthed by BuzzFeed late Thursday, refusing to accept that Obama’s Hawaii birth certificate was genuine proof. The month after he released it, 47 percent percent said he was definitely born in the USA, 18 percent said he probably was, and 13 percent said he definitely or probably was born in another country. In a Washington Post interview, he again declined to say whether the president was born in the U.S.
