Clinton and Trump give more details on their health
Clinton’s doctor said she “continues to improve” after contracting a “mild, non-contagious” form of pneumonia diagnosed last Friday, two days before she grew dizzy and was seen losing her footing while leaving a ceremony in NY for the 15th anniversary of the Sept 11 terrorist attacks.

“Mrs. Clinton has been seen by me this year for routine care”, Clinton’s physician, Dr. Bardack, wrote in the letter published on the Democratic nominee’s official site.
The letter from Lisa Bardack came as Clinton recovers from pneumonia. She wrote that she has evaluated the Democratic nominee “several times” since September 11 and that she “continues to improve”.
Dr Lisa Bardack added that Mrs Clinton was “recovering well with antibiotics and rest” after becoming overheated, dehydrated and feeling dizzy during a 9/11 memorial ceremony in NY on Sunday. The pneumonia was described as a “mild non-contagious bacterial pneumonia”, for which Clinton was advised to rest and take antibiotics.
The Trump campaign yesterday released a doctor’s letter saying its candidate is in “excellent physical health”.
The former secretary of state also takes antihistamines for her periodic allergy flareups and vitamin supplements when necessary.
Mrs Clinton released new information about her health after mounting pressure for the campaign to release information about her medical status after she fell ill at a 9/11 memorial event on Sunday. After she was diagnosed on Friday, she did not disclose her illness and continued to campaign instead of resting, meeting with national security advisers in New York City on Friday and hosting two fundraisers on Friday and Saturday. “I felt dizzy and I did lose my balance for a minute, but once I got in [the van], once I could sit down, once I could cool off, once I had some water, I immediately started feeling better”, she said.
Her Republican rival Donald Trump released his own medical data on a TV talk show. When asked why she didn’t discuss her pneumonia diagnosis until after it became abundantly necessary to do so, she said she “didn’t think it was going to be that big a deal”.
The campaign plans to share the information on Thursday.

Mr Trump also handed the show’s host Mehmet Oz a one-page summary containing results from his most recent physical exam.
