Conte: Chelsea lacked the attention of a great team
Friday’s win comes just six days after Jürgen Klopp’s side beat champions Leicester City 4-1 at Anfield, and captain Henderson is thrilled with their week’s work. “We played football like hell”, said Klopp.

“It was very intense, very lively and very flexible”. But I was really happy with the style of play and the confidence.
Terry missed the clash after struggling through the final stages of last weekend’s draw with Swansea with strained foot ligaments, handing David Luiz a second Chelsea debut.
Chelsea took on a passive role in the first half and their defence was caught short when a quick free-kick by Philippe Coutinho was volleyed home by Dejan Lovren after 17 minutes. “He had an injury in his ankle and I don’t know exactly the time that he will take to recover”.
“And then we scored the goals in other moments”.
The two goals conceded in the first period, though classy, could have been defended a lot better.
Liverpool, more energetic and inventive, was 2-0 up in about half an hour and controlled proceedings for an hour.
“I think he played very well”, added Conte of the Brazilian.
“It’s important to understand that every game is tough and we mustn’t forget last season”.
“It’s hard, a year ago we came back against Tottenham”.
Yet it was Liverpool who came closest to scoring the game’s fourth goal when Divock Origi’s header was kept out by Thibaut Courtois.
Expectations are rising but Lovren is refusing to get carried away.
“Are we title contenders?” The next game away at Arsenal we should try to win like last season. My answer was: ‘Are you crazy?’ I remember it. “We deserved the lead at half-time”.
“We had the ball, so it’s about movement, playing football simply”.
Football: Liverpool have beaten Chelsea thanks to a stunning 30m strike from Jordan Henderson. “He’s a world-class keeper but it’s about time I got a goal!” “Chelsea is a great team, we must show this in every single game”.
It was the most hard start – do you know a more hard set of fixtures in the whole world playing away against all top teams and we now have 10 points so everything is good for the moment’. We’re acting like a team.
Antonio Conte suffered his first defeat as Chelsea manager as Liverpool moved alongside their hosts in the top four of the Premier League. First half we didn’t have the duels, we didn’t have the second ball, everything was for them. We must feel the danger and today we didn’t.

Asked why he waited, Conte said: “Because in the second half we started with the same players and we had great intensity, scored a goal and created chances to score another”.
