“Today I have to concede that the judgement (of August 4) stands against me (Delhi government)”, Nandrajog told the bench.

Mr. Sidhu, who resigned as Rajya Sabha MP in July this year following differences with the BJP, said the party conveniently set him aside after forming the government for which he had rigorously campaigned. “Hence if the appointment order is a void order then the question of office of profit issue does not arise”, he said.

Congress leader Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday took a jibe at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, calling him “Kejri-Vejri”, and accused him of plundering the people of Punjab on the pretext of offering election tickets.

Stressing that only those political parties would survive which have a glorious past to serve the mankind with devotion and commitment, Badal said Shiromani Akali Dal would cherish the aspiration of people.

Singh said more attacks on AAP by rivals, makes the party more strong, “which was already proved in Delhi assembly polls where party made a historic victory by winning 67 out of 70 seats, even after the scathing political attacks by both Congress and BJP”.

“Kejriwal is always trying to indulge in one-upmanship and take credit and no one else is allowed to do so”, said Sidhu, who was flanked by Olympian and rebel SAD MLA Pargat Singh and Bains brothers – Simarjeet and Balwinder. “Is he really so insecure, they asked”. “We are not against any party but the people who are ruining it”, Sidhu asserted. “Good leaders are being reduced to mute spectators”, he said, hitting out at the state government.

“Kejriwal thinks he’s the only honourable person in this world”.

“Awaaz-e-Punjab is not party at this point. It’s a forum for a like-minded individuals”, said Sidhu. However, the former Rajya Sabha member on 2 September floated his new political front online.

Kejriwal’s visit today also coincides with the launch of a fourth front in the state by cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu ahead of 2017 assembly polls.
