Shigeru Miyamoto, Chief Game Designer at Nintendo and the creator of Super Mario, took the stage to show some features in the upcoming game. Super Mario Run will launch in December on the iOS platform, but will eventually come to Android as well next year, Miyamoto revealed during an interview. Super Mario Run is an auto-runner built using New Super Mario Bros.-style graphics and sound, with some light competitive elements found in the game’s “Toad Rally” mode.

Apple, Nintendo and game maker Niantic meanwhile announced the wildly popular Pokemon Go would be available for Apple Watch users later this month. Nintendo has said that it will charge a one-time price for this game but it’s yet to announce how much that’s going to be. Are you going to give Super Mario Run a try? It will release to iOS devices by the end of 2016. The game looks to feature blocks that allow you to stop Mario and even shift directions, changing up the formula some from traditional endless runners.

According to Nintendo, there are three different game modes to play in “Super Mario Run”. “At long last, Mario jumps into a new adventure on iPhone and iPad, this time playable using only one hand”. You will also see a sticker of mario in the corner of the screen, highlighting what your opponent had done during their run. The object of the game is to collect most coins while reaching the goalpost.
