Trump says Clinton would ‘effectively’ abolish USA borders

Donald Trump repeatedly criticized Hillary Clinton’s record on immigration in a speech Saturday, accusing her of “effectively proposing to abolish the borders”, even as Clinton has vowed to protect them.

Donald Trump said thousands of criminals who are undocumented immigrants or have overstayed their entry visas are putting the nation at risk, and said Democrat Hillary Clinton’s immigration plan would create “grave peril”.

On Saturday, speaking before a sympathetic audience that included people who said their friends or family members had been killed by undocumented immigrants, Mr Trump continued his sharp attacks on Mrs Clinton.

During his remarks, Trump called for the termination of “sanctuary city” designations closure of the border to stop criminal undocumented immigrants from entering the United States. Trump has been joined by members of this organization many times on the campaign trail.

According to the group’s website, The Remembrance Project brings national attention to “under-reported killings, and is “connecting-the-dots” through its initiative, the “Stolen Lives Quilt”- a visual memorial dedicated to slain Americans, who would otherwise still be alive and with their families, if only current laws were enforced”. She backs a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants, while Trump does not.

There is much at stake in this election for people living in the US illegally, as Trump initially promised to deport the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants and build a wall along the Mexican border. During his campaign he has labeled some Mexican immigrants “rapists”. Trump has called for the immediate deportation of every undocumented immigrant who has committed a crime while in the United States.

The presence of Sanders and Warren in OH is part of the Clinton campaign’s effort to regain her once-sizable lead over Trump by winning over disillusioned voters who are leaning toward Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson or Green Party nominee Jill Stein.

Two of the Democrats’ liberal stars, senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, were campaigning for Mrs Clinton in OH on Saturday to drum up support among the young people, whose votes she needs on election day.

The Republican nominee has on many occasions given a platform to these families, such as during the Republican National Convention, during his immigration speech in Arizona, and during a recent Fox News town hall.

“Take their guns away!”

Clinton has never said she wants to overturn the Second Amendment. Take them. Let’s see what happens to her. “It would be very risky”. She doesn’t want guns.

Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said in a statement that Trump’s remarks about Clinton’s bodyguards fell into Trump’s pattern of inciting people to violence.
