Five construction workers remained missing and believed trapped underground almost 12 hours after the collapse of a tiered parking structure under construction in Tel Aviv that killed two and injured at least 24.

The four-story, underground parking garage was under construction when it gave way in a high-tech area of northern Tel Aviv.
A number of the building’s floors collapsed in on themselves at a construction site in Tel Aviv’s Ramat Hachayal neighborhood, and there is still a danger of further collapse.
The IDF Homefront Command, which is heading rescue efforts, deployed hundreds of its soldiers at the site, assisted by the military’s Oketz canine unit.
Police say also killed in the collapse were Denis Diatzniko, 28, from Ukraine and Ihad Ajhaj, 34, from the Palestinian town of Bet Rima.
Details were still emerging of the incident at the construction site in northeastern Tel Aviv where an underground vehicle park collapsed.

“They had lots of luck”, Listenberg said.
Teams worked all night to search for survivors inside the wreckage of the multilevel parking garage under construction that collapsed. Abu Shahla said that his ministry was following the incident closely, and that it holds the Israeli government responsible for the recent spate of construction site deaths.
