“I am also thrilled to be back on the campaign trial”.

“As the world knows I’ve been a little under the weather recently”, she told a crowd at the Black Women’s Agenda Symposium Workshop in Washington, D.C.

Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia last Friday, but her campaign didn’t disclose her illness until Sunday, when she had to leave a 9/11 memorial event early because she wasn’t feeling well.

Clinton said that all women have to work harder at the office while still bearing responsibilities at home ― a challenge that can be even more difficult for black women.

While Hillary Clinton’s bout with pneumonia has raised some concerns about her health, the Democratic presidential nominee sought to make light of her diagnosis in remarks on Friday. Trump has not publicly expressed that sentiment himself. Supports of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump had always been spreading rumors that she was in ill health, and this fueled some of those claims.

Clinton added, “My friends, there is no new Donald Trump”.

Later in the day, Clinton will appear at a campaign event with First Lady Michelle Obama at George Mason University in northern Virginia to talk about registering to vote. African-American women have been a supportive voting bloc for Clinton for decades and the former secretary of state said that she “would not be the Democratic nominee for president of the United States were it not for black women”.
