Fallon’s nice-guy style has helped make him the late-night ratings leader.

Donald Trump found himself on the receiving end of Jimmy Fallon’s physical humour last night during an appearance on the comedian’s late night talk show.
Hillary Clinton, scheduled as a guest on Monday, will likely be expecting the same kid-gloves treatment.
The Atlantic observes that Fallon seems to have conducted the entire interview simply to get to the would-be viral moment of him touching Trump’s hair.
“I’m not liking the sound of this”.
Instead of correcting him for misrepresenting the event as a debate, however, Fallon played along.
It comes as the mayor of London, now in north America on an ambassadorial trip, accused Mr Trump of “playing into the hands” of ISIS.
The left quickly criticized Fallon for not asking Trump tougher questions. Fallon asked how they would decide who went first, wondering if they would flip a coin, and adding, “Do you know what a coin is, by the way?…” “I just wanted to know if there is something we could do that’s just not presidential really. But that doesn’t mean he be let off the hook for humanizing a well-documented xenophobic, racist, and misogynistic serial liar, which is exactly what he did on Thursday”. Letterman had a feud with Trump in 2015 because of some harsh comments the comedian made while interviewing Trump, who hadn’t announced his candidacy yet.
Even so, The Huffington Post called Fallon ” s handling of Trump “a softball interview even by softball standards”. The business magnate-turned-Republican leader hairdo has been one of the most discussed topics in American politics.
