Entire San Francisco high school football team kneels for national anthem
That’s the beauty of the United States.

During the third week of the NFL preseason, Kaepernick refused to stand during the national anthem performance for a game against the Green Bay Packers. “When there’s significant change and I feel like that flag represents what it’s supposed to represent, like this country is representing people the way that it’s supposed to, I’ll stand”. I tell them the same thing.
As the anthem plays he stands, rests on one knee, swaps knees and then leans on both at once.
“I’ll most likely stand”. The other group supporting him, including USA military veterans, corrected the opposed by detailing that those soldiers who died did so to protect his right to decide if he wanted to stand or not.
In one poll, which was conducted by Reuters, 70 percent of Americans said that they thought Kaepernick’s behavior was unpatriotic.
I am sure you can remember the great sports heroes you looked up to as a child.
While many oppose Kaepernick’s form of protest, including myself, what his detractors should admire is how he’s conducted himself in the face of so much hostility. While he said he has not, he expects to see at least a few National Basketball Association players with their own protests.
Kaepernick stated from the outset that his protest was never meant to disrespect the military or police officers who do their job properly.
Oppong says he appreciates Kaepernick’s courage and would like to talk to him about raising awareness about social issues.
According to a spokesperson for Seattle Public Schools, the protest is a first amendment issue and for that reason, the school fully supports the students in their right to protest. The Seattle Seahawks were rumored to be considering joining the protest, but opted to link arms in a display of “unity” during the team’s season opener last week. The tweet received thousands of “likes” and retweets along with supportive messages from Black Lives Matter activists and others. “But, if you choose not to stand, you must do so peacefully”.
