5 engineering students drown in Telangana reservoir
Five engineering students, including two girls, drowned in a lake in Telangana’s Warangal district, on 17 September.

The incident occurred in Dharmasagar lake on the outskirts of Warangal town, where the students had gone for an outing. The students, ignored the warning signs and soon started taking pictures and clicking selfies at the water body. One of the girls, Ramya Pratyusha, accidentally fell in the lake while she was trying to take a selfie.
On information, the local police rushed to spot and could retrieve the body of Sravya.

The deceased have been identified as P Sravya Reddy (19), P Vinootna (18), P Sivasaikrishna (20) and Karne Sivasai (19), studying in the third year of Vagdevi Engineering College. A sixth student, R Pratyusha, was rescued by other revellers in the vicinity. Further investigation into the case is going on.
