The witnesses told WAFA that after shooting the man, identified as 20-year-old Bahaa Odeh, the soldiers left him to bleed on the ground helplessly without providing him with first aid.

Following the incident, Israeli forces invaded the city of Hebron and imposed a closure on Palestinians living in the villages and towns around Efrat.

On Friday, two Palestinians rammed a vehicle into a bus stop used by Israelis near the adjacent Kiryat Arba settlement, causing injuries before troops killed one of the assailants.

Meanwhile, Jordan condemned the killing of a Jordanian tourist by Israeli police officers on Friday in Jerusalem.

Israeli forces say most of the Palestinians killed were carrying out knife, gun or car-ramming attacks. They have killed 34 Israelis and two Americans, with about 214 Palestinians killed during that same period.

The attack at 6 a.m. on Sunday, followed five other attacks on Friday and Saturday that left three Arab assailants dead.
