The Stark family is a fiercely loyal bunch on HBO’s “Game of Thrones”, and that bond applies off-screen, too.

While they may be separated by miles and miles of Westeros wilderness on Game of Thrones (hopefully not for much longer!), anyone who follows Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams on social media knows that the Stark sisters are real life best friends.
The tattoo artist, however, did post a selfie with the stars of the immensely popular HBO show where William’s arm is bandaged, showing that she chose to get a tattoo right below her elbow.
“Got to tattoo these gorgeous girlies today”, she captioned the picture on Facebook. When looked upon closely, it ink bar was revealed to be a date, “07.08.09”. Paine did confirm, however, that their tattoos are matching.
“It’s the 7th of August and not the 8th of July – because in the United Kingdom we put our dates the other way around”.

Unlike sisters Arya and Sansa, who haven’t met ever since that terrible day in front of the Sept of Baelor, Williams and Turner have stuck together through thick and thin. If that’s indeed the significance, it’s pretty adorable that the actresses would document the beginning of their friendship in such a permanent fashion.
