Hillary Clinton releases updated medical information, doctor says she has ‘remained healthy’

Ahead of her return to the campaign trail after a few days of rest due to a pneumonia diagnosis, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has released more health information. “She is recovering well with antibiotics and rest”, Bardack wrote in a letter summarizing the medical exam.

She’s still taking all the same medications, Bardack said, with more specificity about the antihistamine the candidate is taking.

In a letter released by the Clinton campaign, the physician, Dr Lisa Bardack, said she had evaluated Clinton several times since Sunday, including Wednesday.

The campaign said she had a chest scan on Friday that showed a “mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia“.

After she become “overheated”, “dizzy” and “dehydrated” at the 9/11 ceremony, Bardack examined Clinton at her suburban NY home.

Health speculations were kindled last week when Clinton trailed off into a coughing attack during her first press conference in almost nine months.

Additional health records released with the letter show that Clinton’s cholesterol and blood pressure are within normal ranges.

The former secretary of state also takes antihistamines for her periodic allergy flareups and vitamin supplements when necessary.

Despite fanning conspiracy theories about Clinton’s health, Trump provided scant information about his own.

Many critics have raised concerns about Clinton’s health, some accusing her of hiding a serious illness and pointing to her frequent cough as evidence that she may be unfit to serve a full term as commander in chief.

“Strong Together” is her official campaign slogan – and the title of a book she and her running mate, Sen.

The doctor also confirmed that Clinton takes medicine for a thyroid condition, as well as blood thinner Coumadin. Then the September 11 episode happened, and Clinton canceled campaign plans for three days.

Clinton’s medical history included deep vein thrombosis in 1998 and 2009, an elbow fracture in 2009, and a blood clot and a concussion in 2012, Bardack said a year ago.

Mr Trump later said she was “lying in bed, getting better”.

Dr. Harold Bornstein last month admitted he spent just five minutes writing the letter.

So far, the Republican presidential candidate has only released a widely mocked letter from his longtime physician declaring he would be the healthiest president in history.
