Donald Trump says Hillary Clinton guards should disarm and ‘see what happens’
Asked in the Oval Office about the renewed birther controversy Friday, President Obama gave the question short shrift, making a dig at the United States media and its obsessive coverage of Trump.

And for the second time in the presidential campaign, Trump is again raising the specter of violence against Clinton, this time joking about disarming her Secret Service agents.
“I think Donald Trump put an end to this issue”, Pence said today on ABC’s This Week, referring to Trump’s brief statement Friday acknowledging that the president was born in the U.S. “I think they should disarm immediately”. And this year, they will be voting in record numbers, and it won’t be for Hillary Clinton, it will be for Donald Trump.
“I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election”, Obama said with a stern look and booming passion. What do you think? Yes? Yes.
Clinton has called for tighter access to guns, including universal background checks, but has never said she planned to get rid of the Second Amendment. Take them. Let’s see what happens to her. “OK, it would be very unsafe”.
In justifying his remarks, Mr. Trump falsely claimed that Ms. Clinton wants to “destroy your Second Amendment”, apparently a reference to her gun control policies. This all fits into a pattern of inciting into his supporters the worst fears they can imagine: a president they don’t want stealing away their basic Constitutional rights. “I don’t know about you guys, but I am so relieved that the whole “birther” thing is over”.
Trump has often cited the country as a model of a failed state, warning that if Clinton is elected, she’ll turn the USA into Venezuela.
During a week of flubs last month, the Republican nominee made a similar comment in which he said “Second Amendment people” could do something if Clinton as president appointed Supreme Court Justices.
Obama will outline accomplishments from his eight years, but will argue more work is left to be done, so electing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is essential.
Philip Rucker and Dan Balz, Washington Post: “After five years of peddling lies and innuendo about the circumstances of President Obama’s birth, Trump on Friday bowed to the facts and acknowledged for the first time that Obama was born in the United States, though he refused to apologize for his efforts to delegitimize the nation’s first black president”.
Trump was slammed for his comments.
Hillary Clinton got slammed by indignant conservatives and members of the media desperate to stir the pot after she said many Trumpkins are “deplorables”.
The Secret Service had not yet responded. “We can’t let Barack Obama’s legacy fall into the hands of someone who doesn’t understand that ― whose unsafe and divisive vision for our country will drag us backwards”.

The president was meeting with business leaders and state and local officials at the White House to discuss the Trans Pacific Partnership when he answered a shouted question about Trump’s birtherism from the press pool.
