Roy Keane believes there is more managerial stardust at Man City than his former club, Man United.
“Mourinho reckons he’s the ‘Special One, ‘ to me this guy [Guardiola] is”.
Keane, who made a staggering 480 appearances for United over 14 seasons, admitted that he “wouldn’t like to mess with Guardiola” as he “doesn’t mess about”.
The Spanish coach has made some big calls since joining the Citizens this season, having dropped the likes of Joe Hart and Yaya Toure from the first team.
“He says he’s a challenging coach and he doesn’t look like he’s messing about”. He’s rotating the squad, players are playing with a lot more confidence after a decent start.
“But I think it’s great for him to learn from somebody like that”.
Speaking on ITV following Man City’s impressive 4-0 performance against Borussia Moenchengladbach in their Champions League group opener, Keane hailed the Spaniard’s influence so soon at the Etihad.
Manchester United are now gearing up for their Premier League clash at Watford on Sunday afternoon as they look to return to winning ways following their 2-1 loss to City last weekend.
