Pak a terrorist state, should be isolated: Rajnath after Uri attack
The Chief Minister said the heightened tension in the wake of Uri attack is set to further vitiate the atmosphere in and around Jammu and Kashmir amid increasing Indo-Pak hostility. “Our thoughts are with the families of the courageous soldiers who lost their lives”, US Ambassador to India Richard Verma said in a tweet. This is the same group that had been suspected of carrying out the Pathankot air base attack earlier in the year.

Army officials said the rebels had infiltrated into the Indian side of Kashmir from the Pakistani-controlled part.
Uri is close to the Line of Control (LoC), which divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan. Army chief Gen. Dalbir Singh Suhag has reached Uri while defence minister Manohar Parrikar was expected to reach Srinagar shortly.
#UriAttack should be condemned Now the time has come to teach Pakistan in their own language.
Singh was quick to respond on what India’s reply to this attack would be. “Retribution should be quick and severe”.
What made Sunday’s attack different from other attacks in the region was that instead of storming into the camp, the rebels quietly entered the base and later launched their attack, said a senior army officer who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to reporters.
In a related development, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh cancelled his visit to the United States and Russian Federation.

The BJP national general secretary posted on Facebook: “The PM has promised that those behind the Uri terror attack will not go unpunished. They can continuously keep threatening us with these activities, but India is strong enough to take care of its internal security and no such threat is going to deter us from restoring peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir”.
