Harry Kane hits 50th Premier League goal

After finishing third in the Premier League last season, Tottenham will be desperate to improve on their efforts and avoid falling away late on again, while they also have the addition of Champions League football to their schedule this year.

Speaking about his milestone after the game, Kane said: “It’s a great achievement and it makes me want to get those next 50 even quicker”.

Eriksen has made 101 league appearances since joining Spurs from Ajax ahead of the 2013-14 season, scoring 23 goals. But we’ve got some good results against some tough teams.

Dele Alli scored twice to sink Stoke last season.

Hughes, who has led the Potters to a club-record ninth-place finish in all three of his seasons in charge, has sought to soften their style by targeting technically-gifted players and encouraging passing football. “They have to show me that they are better than another player competing for the same position”.

But the 24-year-old appears to be up to speed and he is already halfway to matching the tally of four Premier League goals he scored during his debut season at White Hart Lane. I think he’s the kind of player that can help the team to achieve good things and, for sure, he will adapt quickly to our philosophy and our style.

Stoke, on the other hand, remain bottom of the table with only one point and 10 goals conceded after a miserable afternoon in which manager Mark Hughes was sent off.

“I’m very happy for him”, Pochettino said. It’s hard when you need to be fit a and give your best.

“Sometimes you are happy with your decisions, sometimes you feel very bad about your decisions”.

The venue may have undergone a name change since their last visit, but Mauricio Pochettino’s men are still more than comfortable in the surroundings.

He went on: “I was relaxed!”

“They were two decisions I thought should have gone our way”. In previous games the lone striker for Stoke has appeared a little isolated, but there were positive signs in the first half.
