Sony, after releasing its new 4K-capable PlayStation Pro console, has stated that the majority of the games available for the PS4 Pro will only receiver upscaling to 4K graphics from a native resolution of Full HD.

Besides, Sony’s Pro console is just a revamped edition of the existing Playstation 4 console. “With the Playstation 4 Pro, this includes the possibility of pushing our game’s graphics to new levels, which creates even more immersive experiences for players”.
There was one significant hurdle, though: anyone watching Sony’s NY press conference on a television or computer monitor that doesn’t support 4K or HDR would be unable to tell the difference. According to Forbes, even if the new Sony console takes Microsoft’s Xbox One S head on, the latter may still come out on top.
To further sweeten the deal (as if you needed an excuse), special PS4 bundles where the console is sold with a specific game are localized based on market preferences, like the PlayStation 4 National Basketball Association 2K17 bundle which is exclusive to the Philippines. The company’s PlayStation VR headset will go on sale within weeks, and must be paired with the company’s PS4 console to operate. Boasting 4K support and with boosted performance and gaming capabilities with a souped-up CPU and GPU, the PS4 Pro is for the hard-core gamer who wants an unbeatable gaming experience. Prices of these brand new consoles can peak at $300 but GameStop can cut the price by nearly half. If you haven’t bought a PS4 and are considering one, the Slim is an excellent starting point. However, it also supports UHD Blu-ray playback due to it having a 4K Blu-ray player built in.
The recently announced PS4 Pro and still-in-the-works Project Scorpio for Xbox could potentially split audiences with their superior power and focus on higher-resolution games. PlayStation 4 Pro also comes with an additional USB port in the rear in addition to two USB ports in the front for connecting additional devices including the PlayStation virtual reality system. Whether or not I get a 4K television depends on whether or not I can find a good deal and how soon native 4K games hit the market.
With the launch of the PS4 Slim and the upcoming PS4 Pro, Sony will phase out the standard PS4 models.
KitGuru Says: There has been a lot of mixed messaging from Sony when it comes to the PS4 Pro and in many ways, it feels like the console is being used as a tool to help bump Sony’s falling TV sales.
We have no idea why anyone would bother with the PlayStation 4 Slim at this point, unless they’re hardcore Sony fanboys.
