One person remains in hospital.

“He clearly prevented additional injuries and potentially loss of life”, Mayor Dave Kleis said. “They were screaming, ‘Someone’s stabbing people in the mall, ‘ and people were just really frantic and were running”.

The incident comes on the same night as 29 people were injured in a bomb blast in New York’s upmarket area of Chelsea and just days after the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

“We felt it. We heard it”, Gonzalez said.

Weires says she and her friends ran out of the mall. All eight victims were expected to survive.

He said police told him at around 9 p.m. Saturday that his son had died at the mall, and that police had raided the family’s apartment, seizing photos and other materials.

An off-duty police officer shot and killed him.

NEW YORK (AP) – Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Sunday that an explosion that rocked a crowded Manhattan neighborhood, injuring 29 people, doesn’t appear to be linked to global terrorism, and he vowed that authorities would find and prosecute whoever was responsible.

The person who is responsible for the St. Cloud stabbings is now dead, according to a news release from St. Cloud police.

Eight people were injured when the suspect, who was reportedly dressed like a security guard, began his attacks.

The Minnesota attack came as 29 people were injured in a deliberate explosion in a busy NY neighborhood late Saturday. That suspect was confronted by an off duty police officer and summarily shot and killed.

None of the victims had life-threatening wounds.

Three college freshmen who were shopping at a Minnesota mall when a man stabbed eight people say they saw two bloodied men stumble from a hallway.

The bulletin went on to say that the attack had been perpetrated in response to the group’s call to “target citizens of countries belonging to the crusader coalition”, a term referring to the US -led coalition carrying out airstrikes against the group.

The ISIS claims responsibility in the wake of the attacks even though it is not certain whether they were informed of the attack beforehand or even knew of it while it was taking place.

IS has repeatedly called for lone-wolf attacks on countries in the US-led coalition targeting the jihadist group with air strikes in Syria and Iraq, with France and Belgium bearing the brunt of such actions. It has also claimed past attacks that are not believed to have been planned by its central leadership.

“At least eight people were wounded in a stabbing attack at a shopping mall in the U.S. state of Minnesota, before the suspected attacker was shot dead by police, officials say”.
