Clinton appeared in a sketch as a bartender opposite McKinnon as Clinton earlier this year.

The comedian broke out in a huge way for her supporting role in this summer’s “Ghostbusters”, stealing almost every scene in the film.

Kate McKinnon may have won her first Emmy award Sunday night, but she certainly knew who to thank. On the show, she’s known for a wide array of goofy characters and spot-on impressions, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

WHAT! Kate McKinnon took home the gold for SNL at the 2016 Emmys Sept. 18, and it was her speech that stole the show!

Speculation about Dreyfus’ reaction includes her hard history with Saturday Night Live, a topic she’s recently discussed during with The New Yorker Radio Hour.

And yes, it was real.

“On a personal note, thank you to my lovely and hilarious mother and sister”, she said.

‘I’m really crying. I’m not making it up – this is really insane … “Thank you to my fantastic collegues, the cast and writers”.
