Is Manchester United of previous year back?
Jose Mourinho bemoaned a “clear offside” goal after Manchester United’s Europa League campaign got off to a losing start against Feyenoord.

“When we won the Community Shield and the three Premier League matches, I was not on the moon”, Mourinho said. We were trying to win, they were trying not to lose.
Mourinho made eight changes for the game and saw his side produce an uninspiring display as they lost 1-0.
It was a Tony Vilhena goal 11 minutes from time that handed Feyenoord a famous win but Jones had a big role to play with a few crucial saves in a flawless 90 minutes.
Manchester United will kick off at Watford and you can bet that Jose Mourinho’s side will be looking to get their momentum turned around.
Though the scrutiny of the early days of the United-Mourinho era has centred on high-profile recruits Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Red Devils’ defence has also been a sticking point. Have your say in the comments section below.
The former Liverpool utility man has never been the most talented player, but he’s still going strong at 36 years of age and captained Feyenoord to victory over Manchester United on Thursday night in the Europa League.
“Look I don’t want to personalise”.
“I think in the first half we did not have an especially ambitious attitude”, in his post-match press conference.
“You win matches, people are happy and full of confidence”. The players at this age with great life, the money they have to do what they want, I think they shouldn’t need an extra source of motivation.
“I think he was like the team”.
But the Portuguese gave a bullish answer, saying: “When you lose matches there are no miracles in terms of the players’ souls”.
United attacked with numbers in search of an elusive last-gasp leveller as the clock wore down in Rotterdam.

“In the first half, for 35 minutes it was City in control, but when they brought on Fernando, they were feeling what everybody was feeling, that we were in control”. That is normal, but we are experienced people and the players are very good guys.
