Entire Media Freaks Out After Trump Over-Performance in Forum

The Commander-in-Chief forum with Matt Lauer on NBC Wednesday night has severely been criticised for being misogynyst and liberal on Trump.

Trump is back at the center of controversy following an NBC News forum Wednesday in which he praised Russian President Vladimir Putin, falsely asserted he opposed the Iraq War, seemed to criticize USA generals, politicized nonpartisan intelligence briefings and stood by a tweet that implied military sexual assault is the result of women in the armed forces.

When he grilled Clinton on the investigation over her private email server, asking a total of five questions on the issue, he mostly used phrases with a negative connotation: “You have said it’s a mistake”.

Lauer laughed and held up his index finger.

Hillary Clinton attacked Matt Lauer in a fundraising email the day after he moderated a forum between her and Donald Trump.

Lauer is being criticised by top media agencies in part for his failure to fact check Trump’s statement but, majorly because of his “constant” interruptions while interviewing Clinton.

The response illustrated the pressure moderators will face during the three upcoming presidential debates, starting with Lauer’s NBC colleague Lester Holt on September 26. Lauer’s performance and the reaction proved that moderators and panelists had better be prepared to show up with more than a list of prepackaged questions that let the candidates determine the debate.

That’s the Donald Trump campaign, and Matt Lauer just allowed this word salad to spew out of his mouth and allowed Donald Trump to continuously lie about when, whether or not he supported the Iraq war, about whether or not he supported the Libyan invasion and the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi, which he did support, regardless of what he says.

“What kind of research are you doing now?”

Clinton also started 2016 with far more money in the bank than her Republican rival.

JOHN YANG: Last night, a former Naval officer challenged Clinton about her handling of classified material.

He says Trump wants to build a stronger military, cut taxes and reduce regulation, foundation blocks of the Reagan agenda.

“That’s her campaign”, Kristol said. Both candidates believe they have the upper hand, with Clinton contrasting her experience with Trump’s unpredictability and the Republican arguing that Americans anxious about their safety will be left with more of the same if they elect Obama’s former secretary of state.

So much is a judgment call in the moment.

Wallace caused a bit of a stir last week when he said of his debate moderator role, “I do not believe it is my job to be a truth squad”.

Trump’s campaign said most of its money came from small donors responding to online and direct-mail solictations. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.

Be Civil – It’s OK to have a difference in opinion but there’s no need to be a jerk. “He didn’t do it on a number of other issues and frankly, this criticism that he went a lot harder on Hillary Clinton than Donald Trump, I think, is well founded”.
