KAI WATCH video game launches on Nov

Japanese sensation Yo-Kai Watch arrives in the United States on November 6 for 3DS, Nintendo announced today.

The sequel, Yo-Kai Watch 2, was released in three different versions (again, not unlike the multiplayer versions of the Pokemon games), and according to Nintendo, these were three of the six best-selling console and handheld games in Japan last year. “This world – a child’s complicated, scary, confusing, exiting and very funny world – is the foundation of our IP, and the Nintendo game really captures this essence, along with the colorful and often amusing Yo-kai behind it all!”

Coinciding with the debut of Yo-Kai Watch in the West, Disney will launch an animated comedy Yo-Kai series.

Yo-Kai Watch tells of a young boy (or girl!) who comes across a mysterious power.

While the game is coming on the sixth, the manga is coming on November 3rd (by Viz Media), as well as the anime sometime this fall (via Disney XD). The YO-KAI WATCH manga will be rated “A” for All Ages and will be available exclusively in print on a bi-monthly basis.

Look forward to more information in the future. And Hasbro plans to launch the toy line in January. As of this morning, the latest Yo-kai Watch spin-off has sold 1.3 million units.
