Peter Andre signs up for Strictly

The 42-year-old “Mysterious Girl” singer is bound to embrace the sparkles, glitter and costumes, but the one thing he won’t be needing much of is fake tan.

“Finally I’m putting on the shoes… and the outfits… wish me luck, I’m nervous”.

Just weeks after Michelle revealed that she’d love a stint on “Strictly“, the Beeb were in touch, reportedly offering her a spot on the upcoming series.

Speaking about the exciting new challenge, Carol said: “I am beyond excited to be taking part in the best programme on British telly and have been a huge fan since it started!”

Fellow BBC Breakfast beauty Sian Williams said: “Yay, Kirky gets the spangles on!”

The popular BBC dance show pairs celebrities up with professional dancers – but to date, only opposite-sex couples have competed, despite the growing popularity of same-sex dance couples on the competitive scene. He says he was unable to take part on the show before because of “work commitments” but he now feels like it’s the right time.

With his background in pop performance, he’s already the bookies’ favourite with another eight contestants yet to be announced.

The former “Xtra Factor” presenter will be following in Caroline Flack’s footsteps if she hotfoots it to the BBC – and it didn’t exactly do Flacko any harm.
