Doctor declares Republican VP candidate Pence in “excellent” health
In the letter, Trump’s doctor wrote that the presidential candidate has high cholesterol and takes medication in order to lower it.

Trump’s weight is put at 236 pounds by his physician.
The appearance made for a timely, news-making show for Dr. Oz since it came at a point in the campaign where the physical health of the candidates has become an issue following Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s recent pneumonia diagnosis.
The incident set off dueling disclosures Wednesday by Clinton and Trump, with Clinton releasing a detailed letter from her physician describing test results and her current health, and Trump taping an appearance on “The Dr. Oz Show” with television personality Mehmet Oz.
Clinton added, “My friends, there is no new Donald Trump”. Still, it doesn’t offer a complete picture of the candidate’s health.
Her doctor declared her to be in “excellent physical condition and fit to serve as President of the United States”. But he did present a letter proving he’s healthy.
Pence released the letter after a week in which the candidates’ health emerged as a major issue on the campaign trail.
Democrats have long hit Republicans for, in their view, ignoring women’s health needs by pushing to defund Planned Parenthood and other policy positions.
“This is a pattern that has been repeated over and over again, and I think this doesn’t belong in any race, much less a race to be president of this country”, said Clinton running mate Tim Kaine on Fox News Sunday.
Trump’s letter mentioned that his family does not have a history of heart disease or cancer and that his parents lived to be in their “late 80s and 90s”.
While supporting some gun control measures, Clinton backs the Second Amendment right to gun ownership.

Trump’s campaign said the uproar over the comment was another example of bias among the media covering the presidential campaign. This is pretty weird since Clinton withstood over 12 hours of grilling in a Congressional hearing while Trump complained of standing for three hours during a debate. His total cholesterol was 169; his LDL or “bad” cholesterol was 94, and his HDL or “good” cholesterol was 63. Trump has not publicly expressed that sentiment himself.
