Jose Mourinho defends Paul Pogba form
Despite the hard week, Pogba is little more than a month into his second spell at Old Trafford and Scholes has backed him to come good and develop into the player United fans are now demanding of him – mainly due to his world record transfer fee.

Mourinho had expected the Frenchman’s tail-off after his bright start to life at United, and now wants him to block out the background noise that comes with his status.
“When you make a relation between what you pay and the club revenue, you realise that other clubs paying 20, 30, 40 is a much bigger thing than what Man United did”.
Manchester United have now lost 4 consecutive away matches in Europe and back to back defeat under Jose Mourinho.
“The world-record player is always a question that will be open until somebody breaks the record”, Mourinho said, in comments published by British newspapers on Saturday.
“He played in the Euro 2016 final, went on holiday, then had no pre-season”.
United travel to Watford on Sunday knowing talk of a crisis will snowball if they fail to overcome Walter Materazzi’s side but Mourinho, who did his level best not to discuss Pogba’s fortunes, insists he is not concerned by the midfielder’s stuttering form. “It is normal after the first game (against Southampton) – which he played well – for him to have a little decrease but I have a lot of trust in him”.
Although the season is still in its early days, a loss for Manchester United could see them fall six points behind Manchester City.
Defeat at Watford on Sunday would mark club’s worst run since last December but Herrera said: “Mourinho is flawless for this club”. I think it will come though.
“I think United need to go back in the transfer market for somebody like that”.

Jamie Carragher thinks Manchester United may have to change their tactics if they are going to get the best out of midfielder Paul Pogba. A Luka Modric or a Toni Kroos, and I think these players are available.
