Tim Kaine: Yes, Donald Trump Is Inciting Violence Against Hillary Clinton

“For five years, when Donald Trump has pushed this bigoted lie that the African-American president of the United States is not a USA citizen, so many people connect that to the most painful time in American history where having African-American descent barred you from having citizenship in this country”, he said on “Fox News Sunday”.

Clinton had told a roomful of donors: “To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call ‘the basket of deplorables.’ Right?”

The slide for Clinton in competitive states reflects her dip in national polls following an August that was heavy on private fundraisers and lighter on public appearances while Trump shook up his campaign leadership and offered a more disciplined message.

Trump’s running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, stuck to a similar line in an interview with ABC’s Martha Raddatz on “This Week”.

Donald Trump invoked the possibility of a violent assault on Hillary Clinton once again on Saturday, a day after he suggested that her Secret Service bodyguards disarm and “let’s see what happens”. Pence said that there are reporters who trace the “birther movement all the way back to Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2008” and that “the facts speak for themselves”, although he wouldn’t list any such facts. “Why shouldn’t voters look at this and, including the birtherism comments on Friday, and say ‘he’s just another politician who will say and do anything to get elected in the moment?'” “Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know”, he said.

“You may have heard Hillary’s opponent in this election say that there’s never been a worse time to be a black person”.

Kellyanne Conway tried to lie about Trump’s birther past, blame Clinton for Trump’s birtherism; claim birtherism doesn’t matter, then finally, she tried to deflect and change the subject.

Referring to the comments made by Trump on African- Americans Obama said he will educate him.

“This should not be a close election, but it will be”, Obama said. “Donald Trump put this issue to an end yesterday in Washington D.C”.

“This kind of talk should be out of bounds for a presidential candidate”. At the fundraiser, he said he was confident the American people will “make a good decision and we’re going to win this thing”.

Obama added that Clinton “will advance those things”, while the central theme of Trump’s campaign is “opposition to all that we’ve done”.

The seemingly ominous comment evoked a remark Trump made last month that many Democrats condemned as a call for Clinton’s assassination.

Again, the Clinton campaign called Trump’s statement unsafe.

Clinton, meanwhile, reiterated the point that has been the basis of her campaign, “Let’s send a clear message once and for all that we are stronger together”.
