He attacked Arvind Kejriwal by alleging that the AAP chief was speaking half-truth as he told him not to contest polls and only campaign but will make his wife a Minister. Expectations were that he would join AAP; his decision to go it on his own will only roil the electoral arithmetic in Punjab.

“When I met Kejriwal I asked him to define my role in the party. Hence if the appointment order is a void order then the question of office of profit issue does not arise”, he said.

Sidhu’s revelations on the AAP episode, which he described as the “other half truth” that had not been revealed by Kejriwal in his tweets, came on a day when Kejriwal started his four-day Punjab trip to rejuvenate the party’s crisis-ridden unit. He claimed that all well-meaning people were used as decoration pieces by mainstream political parties; and that people had no option but to look for the lesser evil at the hustings.
