Nintendo 2DS Drops To $99 In North America

The games giant has revealed the suggested retail price of the 2DS will now be $100, down $30 from the launch-price two years ago. Even at this lower price, every 2DS box will still contain a download code for Mario Kart 7.

The Nintendo 2DS was released in October 2013.

Today, Nintendo announced they’re dropping the price of the 2DS (their non-3D version of the lastest handheld) to only $99. While many people already have a 3DS or New 3DS, this impressive number nowhere close the Nintendo DS and its 154 million units sold. Players with Internet access can compete online, or enjoy local multiplayer co-op experiences with other Nintendo 3DS family system owners.

This console is ideal for children as well as it doesn’t come with the glasses-free 3D display and is supposed to be much sturdier thanks to a hinge-less design. The game is one part of the strong franchise, which also includes an animated TV show and robot model kits. Tri Force Heroes, and Yo-kai Watch all before the end of 2015.
