On Sunday, Kyle Chandler and Michelle Dockery presented this year’s award to Sherlock’s co-creator Steven Moffat after the TV movie beat out the other four projects, All the Way, Confirmation, Luther and A Very Murray Christmas.
“No, I hung around until everyone had left the auditorium”. So pleased we won!
Abbington explained she lost her phone and driver’s license as a result of the alleged theft.
According to Amanda, who plays the lovely Mary Watson on the BBC series, the robber “nicked” her purse while she was doing press backstage with her new hardware.
Following Abbington’s tweets, one of her followers suggested the purse could have “accidentally got kicked away from under the chair and then someone handed it in to staff” at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. “So whoever took my purse, I hope some awful Karmic sh- happens to you”, she added.
The awards show has seat fillers to hold the winners’ places, but Abbington did not note whether or not she saw someone in her seat after hitting the stage to collect the award.

“Sherlock”, also starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, hasn’t had a new season since 2014, but the new episodes are due out in January 2017.
