Mourinho ready to go to work after Watford 3-1 humiliation
United lost 3-1 to Watford on Sunday, following a midweek defeat to Feyenoord in the Europa League and defeat in the Manchester derby last Saturday.

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United reign is quickly unravelling, with his new team condemned to a third successive loss by Watford on Sunday. United was unable to create chances for much of the match but were handed a lifeline from a lucky strike by Marcus Rashford.
Pogba left United in 2012 after not renewing his contract, joining Juventus and going on to win four consecutive Serie A titles and reach the final of the Champions League with the Turin club. I told him that the worst place for young players to develop was Italy. United lacks a plan attacking, barring Ibrahimovic, who has been superlative to score 5 goals and an assist in 6 without service.
On the red side, Jose Mourinho is discovering the toils David Moyes and Louis van Gaal endured trying to live up to Alex Ferguson’s high achievements during his 26-year reign at United.

“For the second goal, their player receives the ball and our left-back [Luke Shaw] is 25 metres from him instead of five”. But, when you have that, you need someone who can open up a team.
The expectations of the Manchester United fans are understandably commensurate with the amount paid for the Frenchman and the reputation he has built over recent years. You give him any sort of time and space and, bang, he has seen the pass and played the killer ball.
Manchester United are lagging in the Premier League after their fixture vs Watford and Paul Pogba has a message for supporters.
“By the time I was 21, in 1978, I had played 104 times for Tottenham in the top division and 102 of those appearances were in the starting XI”, Hoddle wrote in his column for the Daily Mail.
Mourinho’s previous success has been built on a simple tactical formula, with two pacey inside forwards, one player breaking from a midfield and two others sitting to provide solidity. Mourinho’s team is in a “little crisis”, Marouane Fellaini has admitted.
With a big striker like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and runners like Rashford, this United side have got plenty of targets for that kind of playmaker, but against Watford they did not have a midfielder with the required passing range.
Fellaini is quite disciplined and does not go wandering too much, which I think Mourinho likes.

In a poll titled: “‘How do you solve a problem like Wayne Rooney?’, a measly 0.92 per cent suggested Mourinho perseveres with the United captain, who performed wretchedly once again in the defeat at Watford”.
