Emmys can’t tell Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr. apart
While the 2016 Emmy Awards boasted its most diverse batch of nominees in history on Sunday night… there’s still work to be done.

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story star was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his portrayal of the former National Football League star.
Before the Emmys had even started, the official Twitter account for the Television Academy tweeted out a picture of Terrence Howard and incorrectly identified him as Cuba Gooding Jr.
Howard’s character, Lucious Lyon, is a bigoted, homophobic music mogul who hits his children.
A judge threw out the couple’s divorce judgment and the ruling is on appeal.
The tweet, announcing Gooding Jr’s arrival at the awards show, was accompanied by a photo of Howard on the red carpet.
Moments later, the academy fixed their social media snafu, but the mistake didn’t go unnoticed.

Howard attended the Emmys in support of his Empire co-star Taraji P. Henson, who was nominated for lead actress in a drama for her role as Cookie in the drama series.
