6K Photo offers 18MP-equivalent still image extraction from an ultra-high quality video, with approximately 9-times higher resolution than full HD. Taking advantage of its high-speed, long-time burst shooting capability, spur-of-the-moment shots can be saved in lovely photos with higher resolution that complies with largerer-sized printing by substantially increasing the resolution from approx.8-megapixel (4K PHOTO) to approx.18-megapixel (6K PHOTO*2) Furthermore, approx.8-megapixel 4K PHOTO can be captured at 60 fps. While the DMC-GH4 was Panasonic’s first camera to shoot video at 4K 30p/25p resolution, the LUMIX GH5 ups that ante to 4K 60p/50p video. 8MP (4K PHOTO) to approx.
The Lumix GH5 will be paired with Leica DG VARIO-ELMARIT F2.8-4.0 lenses including a new 12-60mm standard zoom lens, 8-18mm wide zoom lens and 50-200mm telephoto zoom lens. Thanks to the digital operation of the zoom lens, panning and zooming on images appears smooth because it doesn’t physically move the lens. Stunning macro shots with intricate detail can be taken with a minimum working distance of 3 cm.

We managed to catch up with Mark from Panasonic, who gave us some more in-depth information about these two cameras, as well as about the LX15 and FZ2000, the latter of which features built-in ND filters despite also having an SLR-style form factor (albeit with a fixed lens). The DMC-LX10 is capable of shooting images in RAW format and developing them inside the camera.
