The bombing has been called a terrorist act by officials who say that so far there is no evidence of a connection to worldwide terrorism.

“When you see the amount of damage, we were really very lucky there were no fatalities”, Cuomo said after touring the blast site on Sunday according to the USA Today. “I believe it was an act of terrorism”, Cuomo said. He also urged New Yorkers to not give in to fear. “No group had taken accountability”.

“We will find who planted these explosives and they will be punished”.

“We need to get this guy in right away”, Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed on CNN.
