Matt Damon taunts Jimmy Kimmel over losing an Emmy
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel kicked off the Emmy Awards with a sharp monologue in which he did not shy from talking about the Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and the diversity in Hollywood. The question is: Do the attacks really matter? What do they think of Trump, of course.

After the event, everybody talked about how more than ten years ago, such hosting interpretation would have been a blasphemy, an offense to the actors.
Trump, known for his rapid-fire responses on Twitter, had nothing to say about the Emmys on Sunday night.
Kimmel then joked that if anyone’s allergic to peanuts that they’re not in luck because they could only afford one EpiPen, a knock at the recent hike in the price of the drug.
Kimmel’s schtick began with a video montage that saw him hitching a ride to the Emmys with the cast of Modern Family, sharing a “Carpool Karaoke” with James Corden, a limo carrying Julia Louis-Dreyfus with Jeb Bush as the driver and ultimately getting dropped off by Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen atop her hulking dragon.
If you’ve never seen an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in the past 13 years, the host ends every episode with the same joke: “Our apologies to Matt Damon, we ran out of time”. He also used his speech to plug the new Miley Cyrus-starring season-something no other winners did-so maybe his one-time boardroom star has taught him a thing or two about shamelessness.
“I mean, if it wasn’t for television would Donald Trump be running for president?” he asked rhetorically. “He would be at home right now, quietly rubbing up against his wife, Malaria”. “Thank you.” The former “Seinfeld” star later saw her show win its second consecutive comedy series trophy. “Let’s take a commercial – I need to go throw up”. “[VEEP] started out as a political satire, but it now feels like a sobering documentary”. And I’ll tell you who … But it is nice to get a little note from Mama Kimmel!
But perhaps the strongest denunciation of Mr Trump came from Transparent creator Jill Soloway, who likened the bombastic billionaire to Hitler.
In response, Clinton tweeted “Congratulations on your Emmy, Kate! Marcia, are you rooting for O.J.to win this time?”
“Transparent” creator Jill Soloway compared Trump to Adolf Hitler during the awards ceremony, which was filled with references to the U.S. election. She’s treating us like the People’s Choice Awards.
“He blames Muslims and Mexicans for problems”. He makes fun of disabled people.
“He is a complete risky monster and any time I can call out Trump for being an inheritor to Hitler, I will”, Soloway said.
“Any moment that I have to call Trump out for being an heir to Hitler, I will”. “And the longer answer to that is no, of course I fucking don’t”.

“The short answer to that is no”, Oliver said.
