4-star DE Donovan Jeter picks Notre Dame over MI, others
However, the slow start doesn’t appear to have a big effect on the recruiting trail yet.

Donovan Jeter – a 6-foot-5, 255-pound defensive tackle in the 2017 class – announced a verbal commitment to Notre Dame on Monday morning following an official visit last weekend.
“I didn’t have one defensive player recruit ask us about the defense”, Kelly said.
Jeter, who is expected to play on the defensive line in college, had whittled down his choice of schools to Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State, Alabama, Notre Dame and Tennessee. I also want to thank everyone who helped me along the way with making this decision.
It makes sense that Jeter would feel right at home, as he joins five other Western Pennsylvania athletes who have already committed to Notre Dame.
Jeter is fresh off his official visit to Notre Dame, which went very well given Jeter moved up his commitment date up over a month in order to be part of the top-10 class Brian Kelly and company are now piecing together.
Jeter is now rated by 247 Sports as the No. 14 player in the country at his position and the No. 6 player in the state of Pennsylvania.

Notre Dame has recruited Pennsylvania well of late, as the program also has 2017 commitments from Pittsburgh Central Catholic linebacker David Adams and defensive tackle Kurt Hinish, plus North Allegheny offensive tackle Josh Lugg.
