Giannis Antetokounmpo, better known as the Greek Freak, has reportedly agreed to a $100 million contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks. Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Milwaukee has come to an agreement on an extension with their young star that will circumvent that possibility.

The Bucks announced the deal on Monday.
Given Antetokounmpo’s ascent to near-stardom and Milwaukee’s penchant for needing to overpay players, this is nothing short of a win.
The 6-foot-11 Antetokounmpo was selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2013 National Basketball Association draft and averaged 16.9 points, 7.7 rebounds.
The four-year deal isn’t a max extension and, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, there are no options after any of the four years.
In 2015-16, Antetokounmpo set a team record for triple-doubles in a season (five) and averaged career highs nearly across the board in every major statistical category.
The Bucks see Antetokounmpo and forward Jabari Parker as the building blocks of an emerging franchise.

Antetokounmpo was drafted by the Bucks with the 15th overall pick in the first round of the 2013 NBA Draft. Under coach Jason Kidd, Antetokounmpo assumed numerous point guard duties last season and is expected to continue in that role in 2016-17.
