It might be too soon for most of us to start thinking of the holiday season, but Kohl’s Corp.is making plans to hire more than 69,000 seasonal workers for the holiday rush.

Kohl’s wants to hire seasonal employees to help it with the increase in holiday traffic.
Kohl’s, which has more than 1,100 stores in 49 states, said the seasonal workers would be added in its distribution and e-commerce fulfillment centers as well as in its credit operations.
Target and department store chains such as Kohl’s and Macy’s Inc M.N have largely reported disappointing sales over the past few quarters, hurt by low demand for apparel and unseasonable weather.
Seasonal store associates will help stock shelves, assist customers, prepare items for online orders and get items ready for in-store pickup.
Hiring for the positions, according to the statement, began in August, and most jobs will be filled by mid-November.
