Donald Trump on New York bombing: ‘I called it,’ says profiling needed

“There’s a reason why we haven’t had a woman president, that we as a society still grapple with what it means to see powerful women”, Obama said at a Democratic Party fundraiser in New York City on Sunday (18 September).

“I’m the only candidate in this race who’s been part of the hard decisions to take terrorists off the battlefield”, Clinton, a former secretary of state, told reporters. “I have sat at that table in the Situation Room”. “I knew this was going to happen”, he added.

Donald Trump gave himself a big ol’ pat on the back Monday morning for saying the weekend explosion in Manhattan was a “bomb” before the news did, Politico reports.

The discussion focused heavily on the bombing in NY and recent stabbing in a Minnesota mall. “You believe it’s an incitement to violence against his opponent in the presidential race, Hillary Clinton?”. They are sending out popular surrogates like President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Sen.

“Under the leadership of Obama & Clinton, Americans have experienced more attacks at home than victories overseas. They have websites that tell how to make bombs, how to make all sorts of things that are totally destructive, and you know where they are coming from, and yet we don’t want to touch them because of freedom of speech”. We’re hitting them once in a while. “It’s a mess, and it’s a shame, and we’re going to have to be very tough”.

Asked on Fox News what he’d do, Trump said, “We’re going to have to do something extremely tough over there”.

He said that US leaders, including Obama, “coddle” potential terrorists.

The gun quip and Trump’s statement that Clinton started the birther movement were both cited in a New York Times article about the Republican candidate setting a “new low” in politics. That was less than an hour after the explosion and before authorities had publicly said so.

Trump immediately turned to the rise of ISIS.

In August, after months of blowback for the proposed religious test, Trump said that if elected he would ask federal agencies to develop a list of “regions and countries from which immigration must be suspended until proven and effective vetting mechanisms can be put into place” and that they would include Syria and Libya. “We’re tying to be so politically correct in our country”.

She’s scheduled to meet with the leaders of Egypt, Ukraine and Japan late in the day in New York City.
