He has a contract until 2019, but Barcelona is understood to have made a tentative approach in the summer for the Spaniard, who may be tempted by a return home.
The Spanish publications claim that Barcelona are also considering to make a move for Arsenal star Hector Bellerin or Cancelo even though they now that they would need to break the bank to secure their services.
Reports in Spain indicate that FC Barcelona are desperate to sign Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin.
The 21-year-old’s extreme pace has seen him become the subject of internet memes comparing him to Usain Bolt, while Bellerin himself has jokingly called out the sprint legend for a race.
“He is a great player, no doubt”. But Brazil worldwide Alves was persuaded to stay for another season before making the move to Juventus this summer.
‘Arsene Wenger convinced him to move in 2011 and promised him something which we couldn’t. “We could not promise that in two years he would play in the position of Dani Alves”.
“In many cases it’s good that they leave to develop as players and then return [with that experience]”, he added. Look at the cases of Cesc, Pique, Alba, Denis Suárez.

Bellerin was nearly an ever-present in the Premier League last season, making 36 appearances as Arsene Wenger’s side finished second behind shock champions Leicester. Hopefully the same will happen with Samper.
