Rio Paralympics: Australia nabs Paralympic gold and silver in women’s 50m freestyle

The son of a Star Wars actor has grabbed the headlines in Rio after securing Great Britain’s 50th gold at the Paralympics.

Britain has claimed the second spot with 95 medals (43 gold, 24 silvers, 28 bronzes), and Ukraine is on the third with a total of 81 medals (31 gold, 23 silvers and 27 bronzes).

The Russians would have had difficulty stopping Britain in the equestrian arena.

“Eight gold medals is not bad”. It’s been a bit of a whirlwind.
